PRESIDENT- STACY M. JOHNSON, Aberdeen
Stacy M. Johnson Stacy Johnson was raised in Colman, South Dakota. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from South Dakota State University in 1998 and received her J.D. in 2002 from the University of South Dakota. Stacy began her law career as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Justice Robert Amundson and the Honorable Justice Judith Meierhenry, of the South Dakota Supreme Court. Stacy is an associate at Richardson, Wyly, Wise, Sauck, & Hieb, LLP.   Stacy is licensed in Minnesota and South Dakota.  She practices in the areas of civil litigation, family law, real estate, and 1031 tax deferred real estate exchanges.
VICE PRESIDENT - KIRSTEN M. TAGGART, Rapid City
Kirsten M. Taggart Kirsten M. Taggart is a Trust Officer with First Interstate Bank where she administers numerous trust and managed accounts. Prior to her career with First Interstate, she was an attorney in private practice with the law firm of Bangs, McCullen, Butler, Foye & Simmons, L.L.P., in their Rapid City office. Her practice was primarily in the areas of Estate Planning and Trusts, Probate Law, Real Estate Law, Business and Corporate Law, and Civil Litigation.  Ms. Taggart previously served as a Bar Commissioner for the State Bar of South Dakota and is currently the Vice President for the Young Lawyers Section. She began her undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University and completed her degree in Business Administration at the University of South Dakota. She received her J.D. from the University of South Dakota School of Law, where she was a Sterling Honor Graduate. Ms. Taggart is a member of the Pennington County Bar Association, the State Bar of South Dakota, and the State Bar Association of North Dakota.
SECRETARY/TREASURER - JENNIFER M. WILLIAMS, Rapid City
Jennifer Williams Jennifer Williams is currently in her seventh year as a law clerk for the Honorable Justice John K. Konenkamp of the South Dakota Supreme Court.  Jennifer earned her undergraduate degree at Black Hills State University in Elementary Education and Business Administration in 2002.  She earned her law degree from the University of South Dakota in 2005. Jennifer currently serves as the Young Lawyers Secretary/Treasurer.
1st Circuit - KATIE JOHNSON, Beresford
Katie Johnson Mrs. Johnson has four years of experience specializing in Bankruptcy, Criminal Law, and Family Law. She received her J.D. from University of South Dakota in 2009. Admitted to practice in October of 2009, Mrs. Johnson is licensed in South Dakota and the Federal District of South Dakota. Katie also has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Montana State University - Bozeman.
Katie is an active member of her community. Her affiliations include but are not limited to: Women in Law, American Bar Association, State Bar of South Dakota, Young Lawyers Board of State Bar of South Dakota, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Access to Justice, Judicare, Solo Practitioners, and Clay Union Bar Association.
Katie's husband has farmed within the community for 10 years. Together they have one daughter.
2nd Circuit - ELIZABETH OVERMOE, Sioux Falls
Beth Overmoe Elizabeth Overmoe is an attorney with South Dakota Advocacy Services in Sioux Falls where she focuses her practice on disability rights law. She also serves as a career services consultant for the University of South Dakota School of Law. 

3rd Circuit - JENNIFER GOLDAMMER, Brookings
Jennifer Goldammer Jennifer Goldammer grew up in Armour, South Dakota.  She received her undergraduate degree at Augustana College prior to attending law school at the University of South Dakota.  Jennifer earned her J.D. in 2009.  After graduating from law school, Jennifer clerked for the Seventh Judicial Circuit in Rapid City from 2009 to 2010. She is the Young Lawyers Representative for the Third Circuit.  Jennifer’s general practice areas include criminal law and family law. Jennifer and her husband, Chad, have two daughters.

5th Circuit - CHRISTOPHER JUNG, Aberdeen
Chris Jung Christopher Jung is the Fifth Circuit representative for the Young Lawyers Section of the State Bar of South Dakota.  He is an associate attorney at the law firm of Siegel, Barnett & Schutz, L.L.P. in Aberdeen where he maintains a general practice but works primarily in the area of civil litigation.  Chris graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Northern State University in 2006 and earned his J.D. from the University of South Dakota in 2009.  He is licensed to practice in South Dakota and Minnesota.  Chris also serves in a number of community and professional organizations.
6th Circuit - CARRIE J. GONSOR, Pierre
Carrie Gonsor

Carrie Gonsor was raised in Pierre, SD. After graduating from T.F. Riggs High School, Gonsor attended the University of South Dakota and received her Bachelor of Art degree. She went on to obtain her J.D. and her Master of Public Administration at the University of South Dakota in 2010. Gonsor was admitted to the South Dakota State Bar in 2011.
Gonsor is a member of the American Bar Association and serves as the 6th Circuit Representative to the South Dakota Young Lawyers Board. She also serves as the chair of mental illness boards for nine counties. Gonsor pursues a general area of practice with an emphasis on family law, probate, legislative issues, and lobbying.
Gonsor spends her free time volunteering with a local youth leadership organization and staying active in her community. She enjoys running and participates in several city-league sports.

7th Circuit - JEFFREY R. CONNOLLY, Rapid City
Jeff Connolly Jeffrey Connolly represents young lawyers from Pennington, Custer, Shannon, and Fall River counties. Jeffrey is an associate attorney at Gunderson, Palmer, Nelson & Ashmore in Rapid City. He joined Gunderson Palmer in 2007 after completing a year clerkship with the United States District Court in Rapid City. During his clerkship, Jeffrey served as a Pro Se Law Clerk to Chief Judge Karen E. Schreier and as a Law Clerk to Senior Judge Andrew W. Bogue. Jeffrey is a trial attorney. He is experienced in civil litigation, as well as felony criminal defense in both state and federal court. Jeffrey is licensed to practice law in South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, and several tribal courts. He is also the President of the Pennington County Bar Association.
At Large - PAUL TSCHETTER, Sioux Falls
Paul Tschetter Paul Tschetter has been with the Boyce, Greenfield, Pashby & Welk since 2007.  Paul is a 2007 University of South Dakota graduate with a joint MBA/JD degree and a 2004 graduate of Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Paul focuses his practice on the areas of construction matters, creditor’s rights, and commercial litigation.  Paul has tried cases to both a jury and the court and has also been involved in appeals to both the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and the South Dakota Supreme Court. Outside of the office, Paul serves on the Board of Directors of the Carroll Institute in Sioux Falls, the board for Sioux Falls Rotary South, and is the At-Large member of the Young Lawyers Board.  Paul was recently married to 2011 University of South Dakota Law School graduate Krista Schram.
Law Student - KRISTI JONES, Vermillion
No photo available Kristi Jones is currently a third-year law student at the University of South Dakota.  She earned an undergraduate degree in Communication Studies and Theatre in 2008 and a Masters of Education in 2010 from the University of Sioux Falls.  Kristi is the current Student Bar Association President at the Law School and will graduate in May 2013.
